Heyya everyone!
I'm finally back from my LONG HIATUS! Here's a summary of what I've been up to:
1. Had school - it was my last semester of poly life! I'll be graduating at the end of the month! Hooray! :D
2. Jamming with The 4 Avenues (my band) - we're currently working on our EP (extended play) album!
3. Taylor Swift's concert - I'm a huge Swiftie, so there's a lot for me to prepare for her upcoming concert in June!
And now that I'm back, I'll be sure to keep you updated with all the food I've been having!
To kick it off, here's my review of...

$10 for a slice of their 'Rainbow Cake'.

Score Card:
1. Freshness
One bite, and I had a hunch that I was having leftover cake from the day before. It was dry and grainy - the kind of sensation you get on your tongue when something feels overdue. On the bright side, they took the liberty to heat up the cake before serving it! Hence, it was pleasant surprise to feel the cake melt in my mouth. :)
Overall: 5/10
2.Tastiness
It tasted like the sort of cake you could get from your local supermarket. I would consider it to be a down-played version of a butter cake. Unfortunately, I couldn't really taste anything else apart from that ): They did try to play with different flavours by decorating the plate with maple syrup and rainbow sprinkles though! It definitely added to the dynamism of the dish - you could dip a piece of cake into the syrup and have it with some sprinkles! ~
Overall: 5/10
3. Quality
As the cake tasted like it was left over from the day before, the quality was compromised as well /: However, its icing was nicely done and it definitely made the cake more flavourful. Apart from that, you could just bake your own cake. No worries, that means it has loads of room for improvement!
Overall: 4/10
4. Presentation
This was the best part of getting the cake! They were generous with their maple syrup, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles, up to the point of crafting a message out of it! As you can see, the effort they took to write a cursive "Somewhere Over The :)", really put a smile on my face :) Psst - They used CHOCOLATE SYRUP for the words!
Overall: 8/10

5. Worthy of your trip down?
It's situated around the Serangoon Gardens estate, which has been popularised by the Chomp Chomp Food Centre! So it wouldn't be a problem getting there by car or public transport :) Parallel parking lots are also available around the place.
Overall: 6/10
6. Waiting time
I waited for 15 minutes for the cake - an exceptionally long time ): Plus, my friends and I were the only customers in the cafe. I'm not too sure why it took them that long.
Overall: 4/10
7. Ambience
With their intentionally mismatched chairs, tables, clocks and knick knacks, this place is the epitome of cosy cots. They've got an assortment of sofas, stools, and normal chairs for you to relax on, so be prepared to feel at home here :) It might get a little congested, due to the number of tables they are trying to squeeze in their odd-shaped cafe.
Overall: 7.5/10
8. Service
I wouldn't bet too much on their service. The waiter who served us didn't respond very well to a question we asked.
"What does it say on the plate?"
"Uh somewhere over something la... yeah..."
It gave us the impression that he didn't really bother /:
Overall: 6/10
9. Worthy of recommendation to others?
Definitely a place to recommend if your family or friends enjoy visually appealing dining experiences!
Overall: 6/10
10. Instagram-worthiness
YES. Come with your SmartPhoneography barang barang (e.g. fisheye lens/selfie stick) and snap away! The interior design of the place would really brighten up your Instagram feed! :D
Overall: 8/10
Total Score: 59.5/100
